UNMASKING THE CHARISMATIC HERESY "For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths" 2 Timothy 4:3-4 - "False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect" Mark 13: 22 - "The smoke of Satan has entered the Church" Pope Paul VI

Conclusion

The goals of the Charismatic Renewal are not the same as of the Church.

The goals of the Charismatic Renewal are the promotion of charismatic formation, charismatic style worship, and charismatic fellowship. Catholics had better become well acquainted with this heretical movement, because the Catholic Church is more and more affected by it. The Charismatic Heresy will not go away on its own. The only way to rid the Church of this heresy is to denounce it and to return to the One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church.

The Charismatic Renewal is not Catholic.

Morphing this so called Renewal into the Church has not made it Catholic! No matter how much it is catholicized; the Charismatic Renewal remains doggedly apart from the Church. The Renewal is not discernible, so it can never become an integral part of the Church, certainly not without the revision of Catholic Doctrine – perhaps when pigs start to fly!

When the Church finally decides to face this heretical threat, charismatics will have to abandon the prideful notion that their movement just somehow dropped out of heaven disconnected from the Catholic Church. They will have to give up their perceived intimacy with Jesus and take up their crosses like the rest of us.

In the end a smaller but holier Church could emerge: the true ‘Bride of Christ’.

Our Weapon Against Heresy

Pray the Rosary! The Rosary is a powerful weapon against heresy; Our Lady promised to St. Dominic that the Rosary would overcome vice, decrease sin, and overcome heresy.

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.

How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.”
(Matthew 7:13-14)

About Me

My photo
Canada
I am a recovering charismatic and a Catholic Orthodox; observing orthopraxis to the best of my ability. I acknowledge what the Church REALLY DOES TEACH; opposed to what some people erroneously say the Church teaches. “Catholic Orthodoxy” is proposed "to conform to the Catholic faith as taught by the Magisterium of the Church. So an "orthodox" person is one who is FAITHFUL to the teachings of the Church, whereas a "heterodox" person is somebody who rejects ANY Catholic dogma. Orthopraxis means "Performing the correct actions". Catholic Orthodoxy is defined by the Catechism: it tells us what we have to TO BELIEVE. Catholic Orthopraxis is denoted by the Code of Canon Law: it spells out what we have TO DO. Because “Truth is not determined by a majority vote" -- Pope Benedict XVI.
