“The Genesis Story was redeemed for me when I ate the apple. It was about 1980-81.. I was working at our Education Center in Mankato. Tired after a full day, I took an apple from our orchard –a BIG apple, crisp and juicy, and I sat on a log under a Maple tree. As I bit into this great apple -I paused; I am EATING EARTH! Yes, everything in this apple, everything I eat comes from Earth, is Earth. I AM EARTH. Now it was no longer just fact; it was an amazing TRUTH. I had at last eaten of the tree of knowledge, and oh, it was not just good apple, it was good knowledge. It led me to the new story the world was waiting for, the new creation story, to what for me is "truly life- giving. I am so grateful to be on this awesome adventure.” (No Wicca, just a Catholic sister: Dorothy Olinger, CSJ) St. Joseph must be turning over in his grave over this one!

The enneagram, centering prayer, labyrinth, yoga, reiki, tai chi, acupuncture, biofeedback, chiropractic, kinesiology, homeopathy, iridology, massage, 'bodywork', orgonomy, feldenkrais, relexology, rolfing, polarity massage, therapeutic touch, meditation, and visualization are all pagan, occult practices. If you are not careful these new age nuns and monks will help you get in touch with your inner self and cosmic energy in a real hurry; for a fee of course.

I used to think that Jesus Christ the Bearer of the Water of Life should be made compulsory reading for every religious, particularly in Catholic retreat centers. Until they started to flog it themselves... it’s the ‘we are OK but watch out for everyone else’ system. The spins are simply endless! You really cannot trust anybody anymore; Obedience to the Magisterium is now more complicated than what it used to be. Watch out, look for catch phrases, stay clear of anything NEW and pray that you will not be led down the garden path by a false apostle!
