Vatican Warns Against Confusing Roles of Laity and Priests
Avoid both clericalization and secularization
The need to avoid both the "clericalization" of the laity and the "secularization" of priests is the essence of a letter signed by the Vatican Secretary of State on behalf of John Paul II. In the letter published Tuesday by the Vatican Press Office, Cardinal Angelo Sodano acknowledges that, thanks to the work of the Second Vatican Council, "the laity have a clearer awareness of their vocation," which has led to their more "active participation in the liturgy...." Which are the priests? All of them… what happened to the priests in picture two? They have been secularized and popularized.

"A Cardinal (at the Vatican) talks about priests being too "worldly". Gee ya think? Not that they're all that way, of course. But generally speaking, he's on to something. to the lectors

to the 'music ministry'

to the liturgical dancers

to the charismatics

to the women

to the youth

to the 'faith healers'

to the false prophets

to the sisters

to the 'priestesses'

to the feminists

to the Marlenes

to the girls

to mere children

to whomever

even to clowns. Not good.
