Holy Redeemer is the home of a transvestite group called the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence”; outrageously costumed and calling themselves with names of Catholic women religious, the “Sisters” have been known to parade naked through the city advertising 'hunky Jesus' contests. Their motto is: 'Go and sin some more.' They used to feature sex toys and pornographic DVDs on bingo nights. But thanks to media alerts and public protests, the San Francisco Archdiocese declined to renew their lease. On October 31, 2006 the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were informed by Parish Council President Nick Andrade that they no longer could rent Ellard Hall.

Another homosexual activist is Jesuit priest Donal Godfrey. At a 1997 seminar in Derry, Ireland Fr Godfrey called for special ministries for homosexuals in Ireland. Fr Godfrey does not believe the Vatican will impose screening of candidates for the priesthood or forbid the ordination of homosexuals. “I think it is very unlikely that any such screening could or will take place as a general principle” or “it may happen in some specifically reactionary dioceses,” (Fr Donal Godfrey) Source

According to Fr Donal Godfrey, “exploring how gay people fit into the perspective of the Christian narrative” is a good thing and “being gay is not special," "it's simply another gift from God who created us as rainbow people.” Source
The Roman Catholic Church holds that sex belongs in the context of heterosexual marriage and that gay sex is "objectively disordered". The Church also teaches that homosexual orientation is not in itself sinful and that gays and lesbians must be treated with respect and be free from unjust discrimination. But don't expect the Church to celebrate "objectively disordered"!
Take Pride in what? For being "objectively disordered"? For obscene conduct and for looking ridiculous? Why? It doesn't matter what one's sexual orientation is, lewd and outrageous public behavior will not bring respect. People can cry or laugh or even fear this... but who can respect a group of fools? Could the Church approve this if the above were a group of heterosexuals? Absolutely not! The Church does not discriminate. Sin is sin, it makes no difference who or what the sinner is.

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,140 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."141 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

As for Catholic clergy promoting "Gay Pride" events... for SHAME! These are priests who dress themselves in sheep’s clothing but who inside are ravenous wolves. They help no one, and least of all the gay population they claim to support; these priests are shepherding wolves.
